With the official opening of 5G base stations, Beijing’s Tian’anmen Square becomes a smart square covered by China Union Beijing Branch Company’s 5G services.
These 5G base stations will serve China Media Group’s 5G + high definition report of the second sessions of the 13th National People's Congress and the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for the first time.
Now, by testing, the upload and download speed could reach 200Mbps and 2.6Gbps respectively, which can meet the transmission requirement for China Media Group’s report.
During the two sessions, China Union Beijing Branch Company will satisfy the media’s report needs via the 5G network deployed at the Tian’anmen Square and the “ministers' passage”, a 100-meter passage near the northern gate of the Great Hall of the People where ministers and other high-ranking officials must walk through before entering the meeting hall.
Later, 5G network will be used to support the applications of smart city, like video monitoring and robots patrol.
